Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and build scalable systems supporting customer acquisition, experience, conversion, and retention.
- Develop and maintain reliable, highly available backend platforms and services for Coupang’s Taiwan business.
- Establish and execute short- and long-term architectural roadmaps.
- Improve platform and service efficiency and flexibility while maintaining strong performance, availability, and customer trust.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams in China and Korea.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development and architecture design experience with large distributed systems and web services.
- Strong Java capability.
- Experience designing and implementing high-concurrency, high-availability, and high-scalability systems.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, microservice architecture and design, message queues, caching, and databases.
- Ability to solve business problems, make appropriate trade-offs, and deliver results amid changing requirements.
- Preferred: experience building applications based on LLM capabilities.
- Preferred: experience with catalog or product management systems and big data processing.
