Base Salary
$117k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize compute infrastructure supporting large-scale distributed Spark workloads.
- Solve distributed systems challenges involving scalability, fault tolerance, and consistency trade-offs.
- Build and maintain scalable AI infrastructure, including smaller language model systems.
- Improve system observability, telemetry pipelines, and monitoring platforms with Data Cloud engineers.
Requirements
- 4+ years of backend software development experience building large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong Java programming skills; Python or Rust proficiency is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP and Kubernetes/container orchestration.
- Experience with Agile and Test-Driven Development methodologies.
- Preferred experience with Spark, Flink, Kafka, Trino, HBase, observability systems, telemetry pipelines, monitoring platforms, and AI/ML infrastructure or language model systems.
