Base Salary
$150k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex AI solutions, including LLM applications, RAG pipelines, and model-driven services.
- Own technical direction for major AI platform components, products, or functional domains.
- Establish engineering practices for model evaluation, validation, testing, monitoring, and operationalization.
- Translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions with product, business, and data stakeholders.
- Contribute to architecture decisions involving model selection, system integrations, API design, and platform scalability.
- Ensure AI solutions meet security, privacy, governance, and responsible AI standards.
- Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Identify technical risks and dependencies, develop mitigation strategies, and drive delivery across multiple initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
- Significant experience designing, developing, and delivering production AI/ML systems is required.
- Experience deploying, operationalizing, and maintaining AI/ML models in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Rust.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks, large language model technologies, and modern data pipelines.
- Deep understanding of model lifecycle management, MLOps practices, and production reliability principles.
- Demonstrated success leading complex technical initiatives with significant business impact.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking capabilities, with effective cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes enterprise-scale generative AI, RAG, vector databases, AI orchestration frameworks, cloud-native AI platforms, distributed systems, regulated industries, responsible AI, model risk management, AI compliance, mentoring, and technical strategy.
