Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Apply multithreading, concurrency, collections, and transaction-management concepts.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to analyze requirements and implement solutions.
- Participate in application design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Develop unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
- Support cloud-native development and CI/CD practices.
- Use AI-powered coding assistants and agents for development, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards, security requirements, Citi policies, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of application development experience.
- Strong experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, multithreading and concurrency, collections, transaction management, SQL/RDBMS, and cloud fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, testing, and debugging.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within global Agile teams.
- Preferred experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Preferred experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
- Preferred exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools is preferred.
- Experience with Lightspeed, GitHub Copilot, Devin AI, or similar coding agents is preferred.
- Understanding of Context Engineering, prompt design, and Agentic SDLC practices is preferred.
