Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers to develop product strategies and roadmaps.
- Collaborate with software development engineers and engineering managers on technical approaches for new product development.
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain reliable, secure software solutions.
- Write high-quality distributed systems software.
- Establish software development and documentation best practices and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
- Develop proofs of concept and integration proposals for emerging technologies.
- Monitor and operate production services and support operational excellence.
- Recommend technology improvements for payment platform architectures and contribute to team objectives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
