Base Salary

$139k - $258k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver globally distributed systems for real-time identity resolution, consent management, and customer profiles.
  • Build resilient, low-latency, high-throughput data pipelines using Java or Scala, Kafka, Spark, and Flink.
  • Develop and maintain cloud-native microservices supporting large-scale queries and activations.
  • Integrate generative AI and machine learning capabilities for segmentation, recommendations, and live decisioning.
  • Lead project delivery from design through production while meeting quality, performance, reliability, and SLA objectives.
  • Mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and provide architectural leadership.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data scientists on privacy-first customer solutions.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience developing large-scale distributed systems or production platforms.
  • Advanced backend development skills in Java or Scala, including concurrency and performance tuning.
  • Experience engineering real-time data solutions with event-driven architectures and Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and operating fault-tolerant, low-latency APIs in cloud-native environments.
  • Understanding of SQL, NoSQL, and key-value storage technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience delivering critical systems.
  • Preferred experience with customer data platforms, martech, adtech, identity resolution, segmentation, consent management, or privacy-first data architectures.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with machine learning or personalization systems.
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and CCPA compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated mentorship, leadership, and ability to shape architectural direction.

  • The U.S. annual base pay range is $139,000–$257,550, with a California range of $177,900–$257,550.
  • The role is a non-sales position with base salary and an Annual Incentive Plan; certain roles may also receive new-hire equity awards.
