Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain production-grade custom Onshape features using FeatureScript.
- Build tooling and external integrations around Onshape APIs.
- Expand the capabilities of the modeling MCP built on Onshape APIs.
- Identify repetitive manual work with design engineers, prototype solutions, and integrate them into daily workflows.
- Automate MEP constraints and device and fixture placement.
- Build automated code-compliance checks for requirements such as outlet placement, egress, and tempered windows.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary design and manufacturing teams to improve efficiency and throughput.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of general software engineering experience, ideally with Go, Python, or C#.
- Experience with automated testing, debugging, root cause analysis, monitoring and alerting, and production software practices.
- Hands-on experience with parametric design tools such as Onshape, Autodesk Fusion, or SolidWorks, including custom features, plugins, or extensions.
- Experience using coding agents to prototype, collaborate, and build solutions quickly.
- Onshape and FeatureScript production experience is preferred.
- Onshape API or external integration experience is preferred.
- Manufacturing, DFMA, hardware product, CAD-to-fabrication, CAM, or CNC experience is preferred.
