Responsibilities
- Understand and track KPIs, SLIs, SLOs, MTTD, MTTR, error budgets, and chaos engineering practices.
- Explore observability tools and create and implement monitoring dashboards.
- Monitor production availability and maintain a holistic view of system health.
- Handle incidents, participate in blameless postmortems, perform root-cause analysis, and implement post-incident reviews.
- Develop scripts to automate repetitive tasks, reduce toil, and resolve issues.
- Measure and optimize system performance and drive continuous reliability improvements.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience supporting Unix/Linux/Windows-based application environments.
- Knowledge of an RDBMS or NoSQL database technology.
- Good knowledge of the application support domain.
- Experience with system and application monitoring and observability tools, including Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and Dynatrace.
- Experience managing third-party tools.
- Hands-on experience preparing PowerShell, Python, or Shell automation scripts.
- Exposure to SRE, cloud, and DevOps technologies.
- Knowledge of containers, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Experience using Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure management.
