Responsibilities
- Design and implement software components and features meeting functional and business requirements.
- Develop cross-platform code for UNIX, Linux, Mac, and Windows across physical, Azure, and AWS environments.
- Define software communication interfaces, implement product APIs, and integrate third-party interfaces.
- Build distributed enterprise software using network protocols and clustering models for multi-datacenter deployment and synchronization.
- Design database tables and schemas and integrate products with SQL databases and LDAP directories.
- Develop end-user interfaces and integrate web protocols and APIs.
- Write testable software, unit and module tests, and end-to-end automation tests.
- Integrate product features and tests into the continuous integration toolchain.
- Troubleshoot customer-reported defects and configuration issues, reproduce problems in laboratory environments, and resolve issues remotely.
- Support product releases, service packs, hotfixes, and code patches.
- Provide deployment and configuration guidance, technical writing input, training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Use AI-assisted development tools, spec-driven frameworks, and agentic workflows while reviewing generated code for security, architecture, and performance.
Requirements
- Typically 10+ years of software development experience.
- Strong Java/J2EE and Java full-stack development experience with enterprise-class applications.
- Strong design, programming, and debugging skills using C, C++, PHP, Perl, SQL, and shell scripts.
- Knowledge of Windows, UNIX, and Linux internals and experience developing cross-platform software.
- Strong debugging skills for multi-threaded, high-performance applications.
- Enterprise security knowledge covering authentication and authorization frameworks, security protocols, PKI, certificates, SSL, privileged access, and identity use cases.
- Ability to use AI tools effectively, including AI code assistants such as Cursor and Claude.
- Hands-on experience with AI spec-driven frameworks such as Plan/BMAD modes and multi-agent workflows.
- Ability to critically review AI-generated code for security, architectural alignment, and performance bottlenecks.
- Strong communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
