Responsibilities
- Design and implement features end-to-end from technical design through deployment and monitoring.
- Write tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
- Break down ambiguous problems into technical plans and execute independently.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers on scalable solutions.
- Contribute to architectural decisions within the team’s scope.
- Debug and resolve complex production issues and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Mentor junior IC1 and IC2 engineers through pairing, code reviews, and design discussions.
- Champion engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, and CI/CD.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 1 year of practical experience with AI/ML-powered features, agentic systems, or LLM-based tooling.
- Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience designing and building scalable backend services or full-stack applications.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals.
- Experience with API-driven development and integration patterns.
- Demonstrated ownership of features from design through production.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in complex distributed systems.
- Exposure to AI-native development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
