Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Playwright end-to-end test suites for web applications.
- Create and maintain Maestro flows for React Native applications on iOS and Android.
- Define and evolve the test automation framework, including conventions, reusable components, and reporting.
- Translate product requirements and user stories into test plans, test cases, and automated scenarios.
- Triage failures, debug flaky tests, and keep test suites stable and fast.
- Report defects with clear reproduction steps, logs, screenshots, or traces.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and designers to improve testability and quality practices.
- Perform targeted manual and exploratory testing where automation is not practical.
- Maintain test data, environments, and documentation.
- Contribute to regression coverage, smoke suites, and release-readiness checks.
- Mentor teammates on automation best practices and review test code.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of QA experience with a strong focus on test automation.
- Hands-on Playwright experience, preferably with TypeScript or JavaScript, including locators, fixtures, network mocking, parallelization, and trace debugging.
- Hands-on experience with Maestro for mobile UI automation.
- Experience testing React Native apps on iOS and Android using simulators, emulators, and real devices.
- Experience designing or significantly extending an automation framework rather than only writing scripts.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end testing, regression testing, and test design techniques.
- Experience running and maintaining automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.
- Working knowledge of Git and pull request workflows.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Experience with API testing using Postman or Playwright API testing and familiarity with GraphQL.
- Familiarity with Detox, Appium, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs.
- Experience with Jira or similar test and defect management tools.
- Exposure to performance, accessibility, or visual regression testing.
- Understanding of mobile release flows involving TestFlight, Play Console, EAS, or Fastlane.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team and prior experience leading or mentoring QA engineers are preferred.
