Base Salary
$65k - $95k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, create, maintain, and peer review UI and API test scripts.
- Document and maintain test cases using Xray Test Management.
- Develop and maintain Cucumber/Gherkin scripts to sustain more than 80% automated test coverage.
- Expand coverage by documenting and automating test cases from production bugs.
- Analyze test runlists, optimize long-running steps, and investigate failed tests to determine root causes.
- Participate in test case design, test planning, requirements clarification, and test strategy discussions.
- Create, set up, and maintain test data and test companies for automation.
- Integrate and maintain test automation with CI/CD across environments.
- Perform manual testing as needed and contribute to continuous improvement of the automation framework.
- Collaborate with Scrum teams, software engineers, product teams, and developers while mentoring teammates and promoting quality and test automation.
- Define, estimate, and track test automation work while maintaining predictable sprint progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience automating tests for a SaaS product.
- Basic understanding of Software as a Service and testing practices including test case documentation, test plans, acceptance testing, regression testing, test coverage, and defect detection.
- Proficiency scripting tests with Cucumber and Gherkin.
- Experience with testing and development tools including Xray, HP Quality Center, TestRail, Eclipse IDE, GitLab, Selenium, Postman, and SoapUI.
- Experience with distributed version control systems such as Git.
- Experience working on teams of five or more software and test engineers in a fully remote environment.
- Experience documenting and tracking work in ALM tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Comfort using Windows, Linux, iOS, and Microsoft tools including Teams, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Java, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AWS, Docker, Jest, SQL, or Liquibase is a plus.
- Experience with benefits administration is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot failing tests with limited information and define, estimate, and track test automation work.
- Strong understanding of Agile and CI/CD practices, attention to detail, communication, ownership, accountability, and time management.
