Responsibilities

  • Lead technical engagement in pre-sales workshops, pitch meetings, and enterprise RFP/RFI processes.
  • Own and author technical, security, and architectural responses for enterprise RFPs and RFIs.
  • Translate merchant business logic, checkout flows, and developer constraints into tailored solutions using PPRO services.
  • Guide merchants through platform migration, modern payment rails, unified APIs, and Merchant of Record solutions.
  • Advocate for developers by explaining payload logic, webhook handling, and integration workflows.
  • Provide customer-driven technical feedback to Product, Engineering, and Commercial Operations.
  • Define integration requirements, test payloads, and assist merchant developers using tools such as Postman.
  • Oversee technical testing and initial production transaction flows during go-live and provide launch escalation support.
  • Lead technical initiatives supporting adoption of new PPRO products, payment methods, and regional connections.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing solutions engineering, technical sales, or integration consulting within payments, fintech, or e-commerce.
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON payloads, and API testing tools such as Postman and cURL.
  • Deep understanding of global payment infrastructure, cards versus local payment methods, processing flows, authorization mechanics, and Merchant of Record and acquiring models.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, including the ability to handle challenging technical questions and technical conflict with senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver high-quality technical RFP responses under commercial deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript, Python, PHP, or Java for reviewing code samples or building proof-of-concept integrations is preferred.
  • Experience with cross-border e-commerce, regional acquiring rails, platform migrations, or unified API transitions is preferred.
  • Additional fluency in languages such as Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
