Responsibilities

Serve as the senior technical point of contact for partners integrating with NinjaTrader APIs.
Guide partner teams on authentication, endpoints, data models, architecture, and best practices.
Debug complex WebSocket, REST, real-time data-feed, and distributed-system integration issues.
Review partner code, pair-debug implementations, and accelerate integrations to production.
Collaborate with Technical Account Managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Build internal tools, scripts, and diagnostic utilities to improve support efficiency.
Establish quality standards for API troubleshooting, documentation, and partner communication.
Synthesize partner feedback into recommendations for Product and Engineering and influence the API roadmap.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership on high-priority partner engagements.

5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in API development, system integrations, or partner-facing platforms.
Experience working with Technical Account Managers, cross-functional teams, and external engineering partners.
Proficiency with REST APIs, WebSockets, JSON, OAuth, Postman, curl, browser developer tools, and network analyzers.
Hands-on experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages for scripting, debugging, and reference implementations.
Ability to analyze logs, trace API calls, isolate distributed-system issues, review code, and guide architectural decisions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to manage multiple high-priority partner engagements, adapt to shifting priorities, and work effectively under pressure.
Preferred experience with trading platforms, fintech, capital markets technology, React, Node.js, full-stack TypeScript, developer experience, developer advocacy, technical evangelism, Swagger/OpenAPI, ReadMe, or enterprise and B2B integrations.

Hybrid Chicago schedule with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday and remote work Monday and Friday.
20 additional flex remote days annually and five company-wide office-optional weeks tied to major holidays.
Salary range of $125,000.00-$175,000.00 USD plus a 12% annual target bonus.
401(k) plan through ADP with up to a 3.5% company match.
