Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex front-end features using JavaScript and Angular for investment banking and brokerage applications.
- Build reusable component architectures and state management patterns for scalable client-facing trading and reporting tools.
- Optimize rendering, latency, and application performance under heavy market data and transaction loads.
- Integrate APIs and define data contracts with backend engineers across trading systems, risk engines, and client dashboards.
- Conduct code reviews, reduce technical debt, mentor developers, and promote modular design and testing practices.
- Investigate production incidents, identify root causes, and implement fixes for trading and settlement workflows.
- Document application architecture, coding standards, and deployment procedures.
- Coordinate collaboration and communication across onsite and remote hybrid teams during day-shift operations.
- Align application design with financial regulatory, compliance, reporting, and audit-readiness expectations.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on expertise building complex front-end modules with JavaScript and Angular.
- Understanding of web application performance optimization for responsive and stable applications under heavy data and transaction loads.
- Experience collaborating effectively across hybrid and distributed engineering and product teams.
- Exposure to investment banking operations, including trade life cycles, settlements, reconciliations, and risk reporting.
- Knowledge of investment banking and brokerage concepts such as positions, orders, executions, and client portfolios.
- Strong front-end debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to clean code, unit testing, modular design, maintainability, and secure coding practices.
- Ability to stay current with Angular ecosystem updates, JavaScript standards, and emerging application patterns.
