Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex front-end features using JavaScript and Angular for investment banking and brokerage applications.
- Build reusable component architectures and state management patterns for maintainable, scalable client-facing tools.
- Optimize front-end performance for high-volume market data and transaction activity.
- Integrate APIs and define data contracts with backend engineers for trading systems, risk engines, and dashboards.
- Conduct code reviews, identify technical debt, and guide improvements in engineering quality.
- Mentor developers on Angular patterns, testing strategies, and modular design.
- Investigate production incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventative fixes.
- Document application architectures, coding standards, and deployment procedures.
- Coordinate collaboration and working practices across onsite and remote team members.
- Align front-end designs with financial regulatory, compliance, reporting, and audit-readiness requirements.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on expertise building complex front-end modules with JavaScript and Angular.
- Understanding of web application performance optimization under heavy market data and transaction loads.
- Experience collaborating effectively across hybrid or distributed engineering and product teams.
- Exposure to investment banking operations, including trade lifecycles, settlements, reconciliations, and risk reporting.
- Knowledge of investment banking and brokerage concepts such as positions, orders, executions, and portfolios.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, clean-code, unit-testing, and modular-design skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning in the Angular ecosystem, JavaScript standards, and modern application patterns.
