Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand their problems and guide product and engineering decisions.
- Build and ship end-to-end full-stack features from discovery through production.
- Use AI-native development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor to accelerate development.
- Own zero-to-one initiatives involving customer payments, retention workflows, and customer portal improvements.
- Address energy retail challenges including billing, procurement, retention, and cost optimization.
- Make product decisions based on user and business needs, including what to build, defer, or stop.
- Help shape engineering culture, tools, and processes and raise the team’s technical bar.
Requirements
- Typically 2 to 13 years of experience, with shipped product work and demonstrated technical ability valued over résumé tenure.
- Strong full-stack skills and experience taking products from discovery through production.
- Fluency in German at C1 level or higher.
- Comfort using AI-native development tools as practical force multipliers.
- Exceptional technical ability demonstrated through shipped projects, founding work, competitions, research, or comparable experience.
- Experience or strong interest in energy retail, including billing, procurement, customer retention, or cost optimization.
- High ownership, sound judgment, and comfort working in an ambiguous early-stage environment.
Benefits
- Base salary of €80,000 to €120,000 annually.
- On-site in Berlin, Germany, normally five days per week.
