Base Salary
$151k - $231k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define system autonomy behaviors and software requirements with systems engineers, developers, and program managers.
- Lead team members on software systems engineering best practices.
- Set team direction and goals for requirements development, verification events, and test cases.
- Manage hardware-software integration problems across vehicle and mission design teams.
- Apply safety-critical software development processes to ensure software behavior supports safe missions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of professional experience.
- Experience developing software requirements, verification plans, and test cases.
- Experience working across systems and software disciplines and leading cross-functional groups.
- Experience with spacecraft design and operations and fault management design.
- Experience with scripting languages, including Python or JavaScript.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive professional relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.
- Preferred experience includes reviewing software architecture, design, and code; developing test scripts and verification analysis reports; conducting System Safety Assessments; reviewing safety artifacts; and using Model-Based Systems Engineering.
- Preferred qualifications include aerospace safety-critical software or tools qualification experience, NPR 7150.2D experience, and compiled-language experience with C or C++.
