Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation.
- Own AWS environments for availability, scalability, failover, security, and cost efficiency.
- Lead infrastructure projects from planning through execution while mentoring a small team.
- Build Node.js tools and services for automation, deployment, monitoring, and platform operations.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Manage logging, monitoring, alerting, infrastructure upgrades, and production troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, product, and operations teams and maintain operational documentation.
- Contribute to and uphold MISUMI Americas’ Quality Management System.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering, or systems engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on production experience writing Node.js for services, automation, or internal tools.
- Expert hands-on AWS experience with EC2, Lambda, IAM, VPC, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, CodeBuild, and Elastic Beanstalk.
- Extensive experience authoring and maintaining complex CloudFormation templates and managing stack lifecycles across multiple environments.
- Strong experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and debugging production systems and applications.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization, AWS security best practices, and Linux systems.
- Oakland or greater Bay Area location with onsite availability, plus U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency.
- Experience leading or mentoring infrastructure engineers, operating multi-region AWS environments, containerized workloads, cloud cost optimization, or high-scale engineering organizations is preferred.
