Base Salary
$232k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the development and governance of a reusable code library and agent rules for internal AI-enabled web applications.
- Design and implement scalable distributed data pipeline features and performance improvements in the cloud.
- Develop, productionize, maintain, and test custom applications and reusable software foundations.
- Partner with business stakeholders and engineering platform teams to establish secure, reliable, and maintainable production software.
- Lead software and infrastructure design, conduct code and design reviews, and identify and resolve system design, performance, and scalability issues.
- Advise engineering leadership on governance and safe AI-assisted application development and deployment.
- Participate in on-call rotation and hiring, and mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software industry experience, including designing and developing reusable libraries and backend/frontend experimentation platforms from scratch.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud security concepts, cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Strong ability to write structured, performant code and independently lead software and infrastructure design.
- Experience with object-oriented or systems languages such as Java, C++, or C#.
- Experience with code reviews, design, troubleshooting, testing, and continuous integration tools such as BuildKite.
- Ability to use AI coding assistants, coding agents, and conversational AI systems such as Claude, ChatGPT, and internal chatbots across software development lifecycle artifacts.
- Preferred experience with observability tools such as New Relic or Grafana and data processing methods such as ETL or ELT.
