Base Salary
$196k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and maintain end-to-end product features across the Reverse ETL and data activation technology stack.
- Integrate data activation capabilities into authentication, billing, data models, UI, and other parts of the Fivetran product.
- Design and develop features in collaboration with product teams, leaders, customers, and distributed engineering teams.
- Lead major projects from research spikes and design documentation through implementation planning and rollout.
- Mentor early-career engineers, conduct constructive code reviews, advise on best practices, and provide project-level leadership.
- Participate in on-call operations and collaborate synchronously and asynchronously across North America.
Requirements
- Expertise in at least one interpreted language such as Python or Ruby on Rails.
- Hands-on experience with at least one compiled language such as C++, Kotlin, Scala, Go, or Java.
- Solid understanding of relational databases; Snowflake or other data warehousing experience is a bonus.
- Proven experience with system integration, including API consumption and development.
- Familiarity with cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Ability to work across backend systems, APIs, data, and UI components while building and maintaining software end-to-end.
- Ability to work directly with customers, operate in ambiguous environments, and collaborate across distributed teams.
- Ability to work in person at the Toronto or Oakland office two days per week.
