Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own technical delivery for federal deployments from initial prototype through stable production.
- Embed with federal customers to design and build mission-critical applications powered by Deepgram’s Voice AI models.
- Lead technical discovery, solution design, demos, proof-of-concepts, and proposal support with Account Executives.
- Build full-stack integrations using Python, JavaScript, Rust, or comparable technologies.
- Enable deployments across customer environments with observable systems spanning infrastructure through applications.
- Advise federal stakeholders on operational value, performance optimization, and deployment strategies.
- Scope work, sequence delivery, remove blockers, and balance scope, speed, and quality.
- Manage relationships with customer leadership and technical stakeholders.
- Contribute directly to production code when needed.
- Create reusable tools, playbooks, reference architectures, automation, documentation, and building blocks.
- Share field feedback with Product and Engineering to influence model and product development.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues in federal deployments.
- Analyze deployment patterns to identify product opportunities and inform federal go-to-market strategy.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of engineering or technical deployment experience, ideally in customer-facing or government environments.
- Professional software development experience in a modern programming language such as Python or JavaScript.
- Experience scoping and delivering complex systems in fast-moving or ambiguous contexts.
- Experience building and deploying production systems in government or similarly constrained environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical, non-technical, and senior government stakeholders.
- Experience navigating complex federal sales or procurement cycles.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including on-site work at government facilities.
- Preferred: experience with speech recognition, NLP, AI or voice agents, or related AI technologies.
- Preferred: familiarity with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Kubernetes, Terraform, and related infrastructure.
- Preferred: experience with systems powered by LLMs or generative models.
- Preferred: knowledge of FedRAMP, FISMA, or other government compliance frameworks.
- Preferred: experience with API-first products, developer tools, automation, self-service tools, and technical documentation.
- Preferred: familiarity with MEDDIC or Solution Selling in government contexts.
