Responsibilities
- Automate, manage, and maintain ClickHouse infrastructure as it scales toward trillions of events per year.
- Build systems for dynamic provisioning and scaling of ClickHouse clusters containing more than 100 PB of data.
- Optimize ClickHouse performance at the node and instance level and select appropriate hardware for each workload.
- Investigate and experiment with cloud-provider hardware to identify optimal infrastructure configurations.
- Use Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes to automate instance provisioning.
- Work on advanced ClickHouse implementations, including open-format-backed tables.
- Contribute to query performance tooling for a ClickHouse query optimizer.
Requirements
- Deep experience with ClickHouse or other OLAP database internals rather than only high-level usage.
- Experience automating dynamic instance provisioning.
- Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
- Experience operating high-scale, complex data storage solutions.
- Experience with Python, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, AWS, and Zookeeper or an alternative to Zookeeper.
