Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the Harness IDP, self-service catalog, scaffolding templates, and golden-path workflows.
- Architect and operate CI/CD and continuous testing pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Harness.
- Design event-driven AI agents for code generation, pull-request review, test authoring, vulnerability remediation, and release orchestration.
- Build evaluation frameworks for agentic systems, including ground-truth datasets, regression suites, guardrails, and online/offline evaluations.
- Integrate SBOM generation, supply-chain security controls, Binary Authorization, container hardening, and automated policy gates into delivery pipelines.
- Maintain container base images, development container definitions, and starter application templates.
- Operate feature-flag and progressive-delivery platforms, including kill switches, canary releases, and safe rollout strategies.
- Embed observability and DORA metric instrumentation into platform services and delivery pipelines.
- Promote enterprise adoption of AI coding assistants and develop associated guardrails, prompt patterns, and developer workflows.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical consulting on DevX, agentic AI, and delivery practices.
- Partner with security, infrastructure, architecture, and product engineering teams on platform strategy, roadmaps, and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 7 years of platform and software engineering experience, including direct ownership of enterprise CI/CD pipelines in a regulated industry.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Harness, or comparable continuous-delivery platforms.
- Experience using AI coding tools and building guardrails and adoption patterns for AI-native software development.
- Experience building or operating an Internal Developer Platform such as Harness IDP, Backstage, or Port.
- Experience with feature flags, progressive delivery, kill switches, and canary rollout patterns.
- Experience integrating SBOM and software supply-chain controls, including Binary Authorization or equivalent container-image hardening.
- Hands-on experience with observability platforms, DORA metrics, SLOs, and engineering-performance dashboards.
- Familiarity with SAST/DAST tools such as Veracode and SonarCloud, ideally including automated triage or remediation.
- Experience designing event-driven AI agents for software-development lifecycle tasks and building agent evaluation systems using Arize, Phoenix, or equivalent tools.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, cross-team adoption, mentoring, analytical ability, and communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include insurance or financial-services experience, regulatory and compliance familiarity, security-as-code or OPA/Rego experience, container-image and development-container experience, open-source contributions, and applicable GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, cloud-provider, or Harness certifications.
