Responsibilities
- Own offshore production support, incident management, and platform availability.
- Monitor and maintain data pipelines for quality, freshness, and timely availability.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and data issues independently.
- Build dashboards for system health, operational monitoring, and AWS/cloud cost tracking.
- Optimize AWS infrastructure, AI token consumption, storage, and compute costs.
- Develop Python automation tools, scripts, small services, and integration solutions.
- Lead and mentor offshore engineers and establish operational standards, runbooks, and support procedures.
- Collaborate with platform, data engineering, and data science teams on operations and handoffs.
- Contribute to infrastructure architecture and operational strategy.
Requirements
- Strong AWS expertise, including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Glue, Athena, EMR, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager.
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, Linux, Git-based development, and CI/CD.
- Strong production support, monitoring, incident response, and cost optimization experience.
- Proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, and application development.
- Knowledge of data pipelines, APIs, cloud SDKs including boto3, testing frameworks, and software engineering practices.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to make independent technical decisions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of platform or infrastructure engineering experience with a bachelor's degree, including 2+ years in a lead role, or 6+ years with a master's degree.
- Preferred experience with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Neptune, Neo4j, AI/ML infrastructure, LLM or agent deployment, observability, telecommunications, FastAPI, or Flask.
- Relevant AWS certifications are preferred.
