Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including planning, requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Author and manage detailed technical specifications.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, AI agents, and other engineers to define and implement technical solutions.
- Lead and mentor a small team or group of teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of related experience and exceptional programming skills, preferably in C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience with filesystems and distributed systems.
- Ability to translate business requirements into precise, unambiguous technical specifications.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced prompting and context engineering skills for guiding AI tools.
- Strong software architecture experience, including system design, API design, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Preferred experience in performance engineering.
- Preferred familiarity with storage systems and protocols including NFS, SMB, and S3; networking; kernel/filesystem queues; and caching.
- Preferred ability to use ML/AI for anomaly detection, pattern matching, and agent orchestration.
