Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to elicit, validate, and document requirements and evaluate integration design alternatives.
  • Deliver end-to-end Workday integration solutions including specifications, analysis, design, configuration, build, testing, cutover, and production deployment.
  • Design and build integrations using Workday Studio, Orchestration, APIs, PECI, Core Connector, and EIB.
  • Define interface specifications, field mappings, data transformations, and process designs aligned with system dependencies.
  • Coordinate unit, system, UAT, regression, and release testing activities.
  • Provide production support through ticket management, triage, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and data conversion remediation.
  • Assess Workday releases and change requests, communicate technical impacts and trade-offs, and support implementation planning.
  • Create technical documentation, provide knowledge transfer and stakeholder guidance, and coach junior team members.
  • Track integration risks, issues, and interdependencies with project managers.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in Workday integrations or integration delivery for HR/payroll SaaS platforms.
  • Approximately 5–6 years of active Workday integration configuration experience, including Workday Studio, Orchestration, APIs, and related configuration.
  • Working knowledge of PECI, Core Connector, and EIB.
  • Proficiency with REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, PGP, SAML, and related web services and integration security technologies.
  • Experience producing requirements, functional and technical specifications, interface designs, and field mappings.
  • Experience supporting unit, system, UAT, release, and regression testing cycles.
  • Experience with change request and ticketing processes or tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, independence, prioritization, attention to detail, and stakeholder relationship-building ability.
  • Experience with Workday release analysis, impact assessment, and recommendations is desired.
  • Experience with BIRT reporting and intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency are desired.
  • Ability to learn independently through resources such as Workday Community and translate research into delivery improvements is desired.
