Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain quality improvement processes, assess test coverage, identify testing gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Estimate test setup, configuration, test case creation, execution, and resource requirements.
  • Set up hardware and software test environments, manage test equipment inventory, and coordinate equipment acquisition.
  • Collaborate with product and development teams on requirements, test coverage, design documents, specifications, and user scenarios.
  • Design, implement, execute, and document test cases and procedures; report defects and track resolutions.
  • Communicate test status, risks, mitigation plans, and quality decisions to project leads and managers.
  • Create test plans, installation procedures, process documentation, process improvements, and traceability matrices.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of software test engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of software test methodologies, quality strategy, test coverage analysis, test execution, and defect management.
  • Experience participating in an agile software development lifecycle and using agile project management tools.
  • Test automation experience with tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins, Postman, and TestNG.
  • Basic programming skills in Java and basic understanding of Linux commands and filesystems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and English proficiency.
  • Retail industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience setting up physical and virtual test environments, including local containerized environments and integrated customer-like solutions, is preferred.
