Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and execute the enterprise AI/ML and GenAI platform strategy.
- Own the engineering and lifecycle management of platform components such as development workspaces, model registries, feature storage, experiment tracking, prompt management, RAG enablement, and reusable templates.
- Establish DevSecOps delivery practices using GitLab, build automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploy cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform and define standards for networking, identity, secrets, encryption, logging, and configuration management.
- Implement security controls, AI/ML governance, data and output lineage, approvals, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance patterns.
- Build platform reliability through automation, monitoring, logging, tracing, SLOs, and resiliency improvements.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, design guidance, code and architecture reviews, and mentoring for engineers.
- Enable self-service platform consumption through standardized APIs, reusable pipelines, templates, and documentation.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in computer science, analytics, data engineering, finance, or an equivalent degree.
- At least 3 years of experience driving enterprise data strategy, data execution, data engineering, or software delivery.
- Experience in financial services or the payments industry.
- Experience meeting regulatory obligations and operating cloud platforms in highly regulated environments.
- Experience building a high-performing team.
- Expert problem-solving skills and the ability to define detailed strategies.
- Preferred: master’s degree and/or 8+ years of progressive experience delivering complex cloud platforms.
- Preferred: experience building AI/ML platforms or MLOps capabilities, including training and inference automation, model deployment, registries, experiment tracking, and operational monitoring.
- Preferred: experience with Kubernetes/EKS, API enablement, Python ML tooling, AWS, Azure, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, automated testing, security scanning, and controlled deployments.
- Preferred: relevant AWS, Azure, or Terraform certifications and strong mentoring and coaching skills.
