Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Build and deploy proprietary, AI-powered risk management solutions with the GRC team and partners across the company.
- Design robust cloud-based solutions and collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Use programming languages, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools and services to deliver solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical debt reduction, and performance improvement.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 7+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred: at least 3 years with databases and database management systems, cloud platforms, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, or cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred: at least 4 years contributing to open source frameworks or creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs.
- Preferred: experience with modern AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, observability, distributed-system performance optimization, cross-functional engineering leadership, coding standards, and design patterns.
- Preferred: at least 1 year mentoring engineers and driving professional development within technical teams.
