Base Salary
$94k - $179k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality code for complex scenarios with strong test coverage.
- Translate product requirements into robust designs for modular, configurable, reusable, scalable, secure, and maintainable distributed applications.
- Lead design and code reviews across multiple applications.
- Lead sprint teams in delivering new or improved features and resolving delivery impediments.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to deliver intended functionality.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Drive technical strategy and vision for the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science is preferred.
- At least 5 years of software programming experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with technologies used at Mercury.
- At least 1 year of experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript.
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, design patterns, relational databases, NoSQL, caching, REST, gRPC, messaging, data streaming, workflow, integration frameworks, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience designing high-quality distributed application systems and using analytics data and experimentation to improve performance, scalability, and effectiveness.
- Experience driving technical strategy, mentoring engineers, collaborating with stakeholders, and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Cloud platform experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is preferred.
- Extensive experience with technologies used at Mercury is preferred.
