Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain back-end data warehouse systems for products and applications.
- Build automated, scalable, and robust data pipelines across critical business systems and Finance data repositories.
- Manage Finance integrations, data pipelines, SaaS systems, and end-to-end data flows.
- Use data modeling and transformation techniques while maintaining data quality and integrity.
- Manage code and integrations within the Workday environment.
- Monitor and manage infrastructure components such as clusters, nodes, compute, and storage for data pipeline performance.
- Act as a technical subject-matter expert in data engineering, data integration, and data management.
- Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, IT, Platform, Data Management, Data Science, Analytics, and other enterprise teams.
Requirements
- Experience in data engineering and data integration, including building and managing cloud data pipelines on Azure or AWS.
- Hands-on PySpark Notebook coding and advanced SQL experience for developing and optimizing data pipelines, preferably with Databricks.
- Understanding of data modeling and data transformation techniques, data quality, and data integrity.
- Strong software development skills with Hadoop technologies such as Hive and Spark.
- Experience with Workday Studio and code management within the Workday environment.
- Knowledge of SaaS applications such as Salesforce or other CRM systems.
- Familiarity with release management, incident management, and SDLC practices using Bitbucket or GitHub and JIRA.
- Understanding of clusters, nodes, compute, and storage used to manage data pipeline performance.
- Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
