Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain middleware automation solutions using Ansible, Python, and YAML.
- Automate middleware provisioning, installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, decommissioning, health checks, compliance validation, drift detection, and remediation.
- Build reusable automation frameworks for IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM Liberty, IBM HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, Oracle WebLogic, IIS, and Apache HTTP Server.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and VS Code.
- Automate application deployments and support release management, deployment orchestration, rollback, and automated validation.
- Integrate middleware and infrastructure configurations into Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration-as-Code frameworks.
- Manage middleware environments across development, QA, UAT, and production, including installations, migrations, upgrades, patching, clustering, load balancing, and high availability.
- Automate middleware workloads on Azure and hybrid infrastructures and support Windows, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift environments.
- Use VMware Aria Automation and VMware Aria Operations for infrastructure automation, monitoring, provisioning, and governance.
- Implement monitoring, automated remediation, log aggregation, alerting, performance dashboards, root-cause analysis, security hardening, certificate management, and access controls.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, resource optimization, and troubleshooting of complex production issues.
- Develop runbooks, automation standards, permanent fixes, and operational documentation while collaborating with application, QA, infrastructure, and stakeholder teams.
Requirements
- Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM Liberty, IBM HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, and JBoss EAP.
- Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic, IIS, and Apache HTTP Server is preferred.
- Proficiency with Ansible Automation Platform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Bash, and YAML.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git, and VS Code.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, hybrid cloud environments, VMware Aria Suite, and VMware virtualization platforms.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Knowledge of Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, and VMware Aria Operations.
- Knowledge of SSL/TLS, DNS, certificates, load balancers, firewalls, and reverse proxies.
- Experience supporting Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, collaboration, stakeholder communication, and customer-focused skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage critical production environments.
