Responsibilities
- Oversee Google Apigee platform architecture and implementation.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for Apigee and platform issues.
- Design and support end-to-end platform migrations and modernization programs.
- Drive infrastructure automation, governance, security standards, and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with networking, cloud, security, and DevOps teams across global and cross-functional environments.
- Define high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and resiliency requirements.
- Establish observability and monitoring standards and provide production support.
- Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, proof-of-concept initiatives, and technical solution demonstrations.
Requirements
- Require 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in API management, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps.
- Require hands-on Google Apigee administration, deployment, and platform support experience.
- Require experience with Kubernetes platforms such as GKE, EKS, AKS, or enterprise Kubernetes distributions.
- Require experience implementing and supporting CI/CD and APIOps automation pipelines.
- Require knowledge of cloud networking, DNS, load balancing, IAM, routing, and security controls.
- Require API security implementation experience with OAuth2, JWT, TLS/mTLS, API keys, and gateway policies.
- Require strong Linux administration, scripting, troubleshooting, and production support experience.
- Prefer experience with Apigee Hybrid installation, upgrades, and runtime troubleshooting.
- Prefer hands-on experience with Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, Ansible, or GitOps-based platform provisioning.
- Prefer IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower migration experience.
- Prefer experience with DevSecOps and vulnerability scanning tools including Trivy, Snyk, Checkov, tfsec, and SonarQube.
- Prefer experience in regulated, private-cloud, multi-cloud, or hybrid environments.
- Relevant certifications include Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Google Apigee API Engineer Certification, and Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
- Require strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, documentation, presentation, technical leadership, and collaborative working skills.
