Responsibilities

Oversee Google Apigee platform architecture, implementation, administration, and support.
Serve as the primary escalation point for Apigee and platform issues.
Design and support end-to-end platform migrations and modernization programs.
Drive infrastructure automation, governance, security standards, and operational readiness.
Collaborate with networking, cloud, security, and DevOps teams across global and cross-functional environments.
Define high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and resiliency requirements.
Establish observability, monitoring, and production support standards.
Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, proof-of-concept initiatives, and technical solution demonstrations.

4 to 8 years of relevant experience in API management, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps.
Hands-on experience administering, deploying, and supporting Google Apigee.
Experience with Kubernetes platforms such as GKE, EKS, AKS, or enterprise Kubernetes distributions.
Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD and APIOps automation pipelines.
Knowledge of cloud networking, DNS, load balancing, IAM, routing, and security controls.
Experience implementing API security using OAuth2, JWT, TLS/mTLS, API keys, and gateway policies.
Strong Linux administration, scripting, troubleshooting, and production support experience.
Preferred experience with Apigee Hybrid installation, upgrades, and runtime troubleshooting.
Preferred hands-on experience with Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, Ansible, or GitOps-based platform provisioning.
Preferred IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower migration experience.
Preferred experience with DevSecOps and vulnerability scanning tools including Trivy, Snyk, Checkov, tfsec, and SonarQube.
Relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Google Apigee API Engineer Certification, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator are advantageous.
Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, documentation, presentation, decision-making, and technical leadership skills.
