Responsibilities
- Deploy, administer, optimize, and troubleshoot OpenStack private cloud infrastructure.
- Develop automation scripts and manage infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Bash, Python, Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform.
- Administer OpenShift/Kubernetes container platforms and microservices-based applications.
- Perform Linux administration, system upgrades, performance monitoring, kernel tuning, storage management, and security management.
- Configure and troubleshoot networking, including TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, VXLAN, bridging, routing, IP Tables, DNS, and DHCP.
- Monitor system health with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Operate and manage hardware through iLO, iDRAC, and CIMC interfaces.
- Perform CEPH storage operations and troubleshoot underlying infrastructure and OpenStack services.
- Implement security measures, support compliance standards, and ensure SLA and operational standards are met.
- Advise customer teams on cloud infrastructure best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 4–8 years of experience with private cloud technology.
- Hands-on experience with OpenStack cloud administration and Linux administration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration, cloud concepts, network protocols, and automation tools.
- Experience with OpenStack, Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, OpenShift/Kubernetes, automation tools, monitoring tools, and CEPH storage.
- Red Hat OpenStack, RHCSA, and RHCE certifications are preferred.
- Academic credentials, if provided, must be from recognized and accredited institutions and are subject to verification.
