Base Salary
$122k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and deploy Developer Portal features across backend APIs, database changes, and frontend experiences.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Cursor for implementation, testing, debugging, and code understanding.
- Develop expertise in authentication and authorization, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, enterprise SSO, multi-tenant access control, and credential management.
- Monitor, alert, debug, and help operate production systems, including participating in on-call after ramp-up.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams, write short technical designs, and grow toward end-to-end feature ownership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 0 to 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Excellent coding skills and strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, complexity, and debugging.
- Fluency in at least one modern programming language, such as Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Go, Kotlin, C#, or Ruby.
- Evidence of building real software through internships, substantial projects, open-source contributions, hackathons, or side projects.
- Daily hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, with the ability to critically evaluate and explain generated code.
- Experience building with LLMs or agentic workflows using technologies such as the Claude or OpenAI APIs, MCP, or agent frameworks.
- Understanding of web applications, HTTP, APIs, and relational databases/SQL.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar systems independently and communicate technical decisions and tradeoffs clearly.
- Preferred experience with Java and Spring Boot or another backend framework, React, TypeScript, Next.js, PostgreSQL, authentication and authorization concepts, developer tools, APIs, SDKs, automated testing, cloud platforms, containers, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Interest in security, identity, fraud prevention, or regulated systems.
