Responsibilities
- Develop concepts and algorithms for data management and query execution.
- Benchmark and optimize solutions using performance engineering principles.
- Own the performance, scalability, and reliability of the Process Query Engine.
- Lead projects, define technical roadmaps, and take solutions from problem definition through implementation.
- Mentor project teams and more junior engineers.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and customers and contribute to development and maintenance processes.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or comparable education.
- At least 5 years of experience developing productive software systems in a senior capacity.
- Experience in system programming with modern C++; Java experience is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of parallel computing, distributed systems, or database internals.
- Analytical mindset with a strong understanding of performance and algorithms.
- Cloud engineering, Linux systems, infrastructure as code, build systems, and performance monitoring experience are preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus.
