Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise event-driven integration platforms.
- Build integration solutions using Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, Event Grid, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure Storage.
- Implement and support integration workloads running on Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Assess business requirements and recommend integration patterns, architectures, and Azure services.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using GitHub Actions.
- Support Kafka-based integrations, including Kafka Connect deployments and integrations.
- Ensure platform security, governance, compliance, monitoring, observability, scaling, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer, Integration Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Azure Integration Services and its associated Azure services.
- Strong experience with Azure Kubernetes Service and Kubernetes deployments, services, pods, ingress, container lifecycle management, security, monitoring, and scaling.
- Mandatory hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform.
- Experience with Azure CLI, cloud infrastructure automation, GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Programming and scripting experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Bash, and Java for the Kafka Connect ecosystem.
- Good understanding of Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, NSGs, private endpoints, Private Link, DNS, private DNS zones, hybrid connectivity, and hub-and-spoke architectures.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, including Azure IAM/RBAC, managed identities, Azure Key Vault, Entra ID, Zero Trust, and secure-by-design principles.
- Strong communication, cross-team collaboration, ownership, and operational excellence skills.
- Experience in Agile development environments.
- Preferred experience with GitOps, ArgoCD, Kafka integration architecture, Kafka Connect, AKS-to-Azure PaaS integrations, Docker, Docker Hub, Datadog, Azure platform governance, scalable event-driven architectures, cloud-native design patterns, and distributed systems.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, and Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
