Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade healthcare applications and APIs using ASP.NET MVC, Web Forms, .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, and Azure services.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, production support, and release management.
- Design scalable and secure solutions using software design patterns and engineering principles.
- Provide technical leadership through design and code reviews, technical discussions, coding-standard enforcement, and mentorship of junior engineers.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features.
- Drive performance optimization, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and production stability improvements.
- Contribute to modernization efforts involving cloud-native, microservices-based, and distributed architectures.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools that improve performance, scalability, and developer productivity.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with ASP.NET, .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, and Azure resources including Functions, Storage, Key Vault, App Configuration, and Application Insights.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID principles, and software engineering best practices.
- Experience building scalable web applications and APIs.
- Experience with code reviews, CI/CD, and version control systems such as Git.
- Experience using AI-assisted development platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-management, technical leadership, and decision-influence skills.
- Experience with application modernization or legacy transformation, microservices, Azure, distributed systems, performance tuning, and security practices is preferred.
- Healthcare domain, EMR, or payer-system knowledge is preferred.
- Candidates must complete identity verification, a background check, in-person I-9 verification, and potentially drug screening; final interviews may require onsite attendance.
