Base Salary
$194k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own technical execution of client engagements, including building, integrating, and shipping production systems on time and at quality.
- Lead client discovery conversations, translate executive problems into architectures, and communicate technical decisions to business and technical stakeholders.
- Choose and defend architecture patterns, integrations, and tradeoffs within client constraints.
- Guide Forward Deployed Engineers, review their work, and improve engineering quality.
- Deliver production-grade evaluations, guardrails, observability, and documentation that support handoff and audit readiness.
- Integrate AI systems with legacy and governed systems and work with risk, compliance, and security stakeholders.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience shipping production software, including hands-on delivery of LLM and agentic systems.
- Experience with RAG, agent frameworks, vector stores, evaluation, and monitoring in real environments.
- Client leadership experience, including discovery meetings, difficult scoping decisions, and executive communication.
- Hands-on full-stack production software experience, primarily with Python; .NET or Node are acceptable substitutes, with React or Next.js on the front end.
- Depth across the software stack and a major cloud, with sound architecture judgment under real-world constraints.
- Ability to lead a small engineering team and communicate decisions clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
- Strongly preferred: experience in banking, lending, or payments, including working with risk and compliance partners and completing AI model-risk or security reviews in regulated organizations.
