Responsibilities
- Develop Java applications, Spring Boot services, and microservices integrating with existing platforms and databases.
- Implement data models, APIs, messaging integrations, real-time updates, caching, and performance optimizations.
- Build or support Angular frontend functionality for data input, visualization, analysis, and AI-centric user experiences.
- Develop forecasting algorithms and models using historical data, market demand, and other relevant factors.
- Integrate generative AI capabilities, including LLM-powered workflows, prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and AI-driven features.
- Conduct unit and integration testing in collaboration with the testing team.
- Implement and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Document design decisions, technical specifications, development processes, and user guides.
Requirements
- A university degree or advanced diploma in a software engineering-related discipline, preferably Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Strong professional experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Solid experience with microservices architecture, unit testing, and test automation.
- Experience with Maven or similar build tools, RabbitMQ or Kafka, Docker or Kubernetes, Shell scripting, and Git.
- Working experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions, build and deployment automation, and cloud-based systems.
- Hands-on experience or strong interest in LLMs, ChatGPT, prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and generative AI concepts.
- Angular experience is a plus, and good written and spoken German is a nice-to-have.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
