Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable Azure cloud infrastructure for enterprise applications, data platforms, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and automated security controls across the software development lifecycle.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or equivalent technologies.
- Implement identity, secrets, vulnerability, network security, governance, compliance, observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and reliability practices.
- Support Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI, and related Azure platform services used for AI-powered applications and agents.
- Establish platform engineering standards, deployment guardrails, reusable automation patterns, and secure self-service capabilities.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for cloud infrastructure, deployment, and security issues.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams on modern cloud-native application deployment architectures.
- Evaluate Azure and security technologies, mentor engineers, and promote DevSecOps and cloud security best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting production workloads in Microsoft Azure.
- Deep expertise with Azure cloud services and enterprise-scale cloud operations, including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD automation.
- Expertise with infrastructure as code such as Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust, IAM, PAM, secrets management, encryption, vulnerability remediation, and cloud security controls.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, PowerShell, Python, Bash, monitoring, observability, incident management, and platform reliability practices.
- Experience building enterprise-scale CI/CD platforms and cloud infrastructure, with regulated-environment DevSecOps experience preferred.
- Microsoft Azure certifications and experience with Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, AI/ML or generative AI platforms are strongly preferred.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, platform governance, or establishing engineering standards across multiple development teams is preferred.
