Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot secure, stable, and scalable software components for payment technology products.
- Write and maintain high-quality Java code and develop user interfaces using React.js.
- Apply system design, testing, operational stability, data analysis, and troubleshooting skills across upstream and downstream systems.
- Use authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and productivity improvements while validating their outputs.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools, version control, database knowledge, and secure coding practices.
- Learn and apply software engineering processes, methodologies, and skills within a collaborative team.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 4+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with Java, including Core Java and J2E, as well as modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
- Experience using and critically evaluating enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, including responsible handling of sensitive data and secure inputs and outputs.
- Strong hands-on user interface development experience with React.js.
- Basic understanding of PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, data structures, unit testing, and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems and exposure to CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
- AWS knowledge and financial services experience are preferred.
