Base Salary
$140k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain production-quality backend and frontend components, including APIs, business logic, data access layers, and user interfaces.
- Refactor legacy Java applications such as Struts and JBoss into Spring Boot services and decompose monolithic systems into modular services.
- Maintain data integrity and backward compatibility while supporting phased modernization, schema evolution, and data migration.
- Develop RESTful APIs with Java and Spring Boot and implement data access using Hibernate and JPA.
- Build and maintain Angular applications with TypeScript and integrate them securely with backend services.
- Implement authentication and authorization using IAM solutions such as Keycloak, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and role-based access control.
- Write unit, integration, and regression tests and apply logging, error handling, observability, monitoring, and production-readiness practices.
- Collaborate with technical leads, product owners, UX teams, DevOps teams, and Agile teams throughout planning, development, deployment, monitoring, and documentation.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, refinement, estimation, retrospectives, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of professional software development experience as an individual contributor.
- Strong Java expertise and hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and proficiency with JUnit or similar testing frameworks.
- Working experience with Angular version 2 or later and TypeScript.
- Relational database experience with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle, including SQL, schema design, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Git and Jira.
- Ability to conduct code reviews, uphold code quality, identify risks, solve problems, and communicate clearly with diverse audiences.
