Responsibilities
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build event-driven systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Design database schemas, optimize queries, and manage data access layers.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and design reviews.
- Own deployments, monitoring, and production issue resolution.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering standards.
- Collaborate with frontend teams on API contracts and integration.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code using established design practices.
Requirements
- Strong Java experience including collections, concurrency, streams, lambdas, JVM internals, and garbage-collection tuning.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA, and MyBatis.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, service discovery, API gateways, circuit breakers, and configuration management.
- Experience designing REST APIs and using OpenAPI/Swagger; exposure to GraphQL and gRPC.
- Strong SQL and database experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, plus NoSQL experience with MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
- Experience with Redis or Memcached, and messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
- Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, SSO, and role-based access control.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, integration testing, and Testcontainers.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle, Git, CI/CD tools, Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as ELK, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog, plus basic Terraform knowledge.
- Working knowledge of React.js, Angular, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, or TypeScript is beneficial.
- Experience with Node.js, Jira, Confluence, JMeter, or Gatling, and knowledge of OWASP Top 10 are beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, ownership, independent-working, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
