
QA Automation Engineer
Remote PeopleResponsibilities
- Develop automated tests for new features and regression scenarios.
- Conduct functional, integration, regression, API, and manual testing as needed.
- Triage and accurately report defects through resolution.
- Monitor and help reduce the ratio of end-user-found to QA-found defects.
- Minimize QA impact on release schedules.
- Use AI tools to accelerate test generation and review generated tests.
- Contribute a QA perspective during requirements review.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Development roles.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright or a comparable test automation framework.
- Good coding skills for efficient test automation.
- Experience with API testing and automation.
- Familiarity with issue tracking tools, preferably Jira, and version control, preferably Git.
- Effective written communication and reliable asynchronous collaboration in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants for test generation is preferred.
- Experience creating and maintaining manual testing plans is preferred.
- Experience with a SaaS platform or custom-built product is preferred.
- Familiarity with agile environments and frequent release cycles is preferred.
- Awareness of DevOps practices related to QA infrastructure and CI/CD is preferred.
- Understanding of web application development concepts is preferred.
- Self-directed, curious, ownership-oriented, and receptive to feedback.
