Base Salary
$140k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define quality engineering scope and procedures and develop and maintain automated test scripts using Appium, Kotest, and Cypress
- Determine automation frameworks that enable developers to own testing as part of feature acceptance criteria
- Design and build agent-driven automation that generates, executes, and maintains tests across web, API, and mobile platforms
- Develop AI agents for test case generation using product specifications, user flows, and historical defects
- Implement self-healing automation to improve test stability and reduce maintenance
- Test APIs for resiliency, latency, and performance across components
- Extend automated tests into build pipelines and support unit, integration, and end-to-end coverage
- Create reusable components distributed as libraries and packages for other applications
- Triage issues using logging solutions and identify testing coverage improvements for production mitigation
- Collaborate with service teams through proofs of concept, workshops, training, feedback gathering, and communities of practice
- Implement quality in CI/CD pipelines by determining when and where tests run and updating pipeline files
- Own testing metrics, identify coverage gaps, and report metrics to drive improvements
Requirements
- 4+ years of software development engineer in test experience
- Experience building and using mobile and web automation with Appium and Cypress
- Experience with API automation frameworks such as Rest Assured and Kotest
- Hands-on experience or strong interest in AI/LLM-based systems, agentic workflows, or intelligent automation
- Experience with self-healing automation frameworks for mobile, web, and API testing
- Experience with ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, or a similar CI/CD provider
- Deep understanding of testing APIs and microservices
- Experience triaging bugs to root cause and analyzing complex systems
- Experience with Jira and Atlassian products, work management, and dashboards
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, planning, and learning skills
- Preferred experience with non-functional testing automation and K6 or JMeter
- Preferred experience testing GraphQL
- Preferred experience with test processes, open-source test frameworks, test design, test cases, Java testing frameworks, JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, JMeter, and Appium
- Prior consulting experience and experience leading ambiguous technical situations are preferred
