Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a highly available, low-latency pipeline processing and augmenting millions of events per second into structured security telemetry.
  • Develop core services and streaming APIs for enterprise customers to ingest security signals into security operations centers and analytics tools.
  • Build security signal logic with security researchers and threat detection experts to identify anomalous behavior and produce high-fidelity insights.
  • Lead technical strategy for data modeling, storage, abstraction layers, and the platform roadmap.
  • Set standards for code quality, system resilience, and operational maturity for a product requiring 99.99%+ availability.
  • Collaborate with Stripe’s core platform and data teams while maintaining security data isolation and protection.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional software development experience shipping and maintaining complex, large-scale systems.
  • Expertise in data engineering and distributed systems, including high-throughput data pipelines and streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flink, or Spark.
  • Significant programming experience with languages such as Java, C++, or Rust.
  • Experience maintaining business-critical, highly available services with on-call, observability, and debugging responsibilities.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
  • Preferred: security analytics, threat detection, or observability platform experience.
  • Preferred: platform engineering and as-a-service infrastructure experience for engineers or external developers.
  • Preferred: AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform experience.
  • Preferred: product intuition and experience with 0-to-1 initiatives.
  • Preferred: front-end or full-stack experience with React or TypeScript.
