Base Salary
$219k - $352k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and own the multi-year technical vision for Docker's foundational platform.
- Establish strategic plans and objectives for major platform initiatives.
- Lead large cross-company programs requiring coordination across multiple teams.
- Architect unified platform interfaces for product teams.
- Design the Billing Control Plane to enable rapid product SKU launches.
- Architect the metadata-driven identity platform for authentication and access control.
- Design the Enterprise Command Center for a consolidated administrative experience.
- Define canonical data models for analytics and reporting.
- Mentor and develop Staff and Principal engineers.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience with expertise across multiple platform domains.
- Proven track record in architecting large-scale distributed systems.
- Deep expertise in identity/access management, billing, data platforms, or cloud infrastructure.
- Expert-level understanding of API design and system integration patterns.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience translating business strategy into technical architecture.
- Proven ability to drive large cross-company technical programs.
