Responsibilities
- Learn new technologies and demonstrate current technical capabilities.
- Work with a mentor to create a personal roadmap and address knowledge gaps.
- Raise problems and blockers to the mentor in a timely manner.
- Study recommended materials and remain open to feedback and constructive criticism.
- Make progress toward the Junior Java Developer level within the defined timeframe.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Java.
- Basic knowledge and experience with an SQL dialect, including SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, and table joins.
- Basic knowledge of GoF design patterns.
- Experience with Git, IDEs, and Gradle or Maven.
- Basic knowledge and experience with Spring Boot and its core concepts.
- Experience with unit testing using JUnit and Mockito.
- Basic understanding of REST design and consumption.
- Understanding of the Linux command line.
- At least Upper-Intermediate English proficiency.
- Preferred: a GitHub account with a proven development history, open-source participation, an AWS account, Docker experience, and NoSQL database experience.
